Buy a 55. It’s the best of them and will have the most long term investment value

Skip spending too much on post 82 plated cents IMHO.

    Get the 72.

Just buy 1972-D/S/P(blank) DDO. It has more copper for a copper value

I would buy the 1972 DDO over the 1983 DDR Lincoln cent. As @Clawcoins hinted, stay away from those plated cents.

If you need someone else to make up your mind for you, then maybe you shouldn't buy either. YOU SHOULD BUY WHAT YOU LIKE!

Doubled Die.. Not double. It didn't take 2 dies to make the variety. It was a Die which elements were doubled.

Lincoln cent. I understood. I am guessing (?) most US coin collectors would. PLENTY of more obscure posts here at CT.

Having owned all three, I can say the '55 definitely looks the coolest. Even a non-collector can immediately see that there is something wrong with this coin.

If you say so. I haven't collected Lincolns since I was about 8 years old (i.e., a long time ago) and his references meant nothing to me.
