The company that's doing this...Shipwreck Odessy....is a public traded company. I get updates from them all the time. I bought some stock in their company in 2006. I think now it will go through the roof....at least I hope so!! LOL swick
The site for the company that found them (http://www.shipwreck.net) has links to their store to purchase some of their finds. Now I'm not doubting the authenticity of these coins at all, but I do wonder why they would bother to sell replicas, and if they make these replicas, whats to stop them from replicating legit coins and not marking them 'copy'? Just kinda made me think when I saw the 'artifact replicas' section, heres a quote, "We also produce exact reproductions of one-of-a-kind shipwreck artifacts and treasures...." But don't get me wrong, I'm sure the stuff they sell that they say is authentic probably is...
This is a new find, just announced this morning. Now, to break out my metal detector and see what they missed.

17 tons of coins - almost sounds like another e-bay scam ! "17 tons of coins - COMPLETELY UNSEARCHED !!! ...many S-mint wheaties ! ......Key dates ! .........Estate sale from an old captain who no longer collects ! ............GOLD GOLD GOLD !!!" :rolling:
I look at it positive either way... If the price drops, I can buy more... If it goes up, some of your investments paid off... My Glass is half full of some good stuff...
very true... high or low, i doubt i would be able to buy some... the history alone will have the 'low' end of prices being a bit out of my reach.
i am thinking thier find will bring the price of existing coins down so it might not be sucha good thing
