Golden toning and bought from Baldwins.........Hong Kong sale. So let's see what the consensus is.....gone to NGC with other coins anyway.
I don't know enough about these to know if it is fake or not. Wouldn't surprise me, but... Baldwin's is a respectable firm. They should be able to weed out fakes before the sale. Most major auction houses will also accept returns if it is proven that they sold a fake (if it comes back as not genuine).
yes..........agreed and I have already written to them but Ma Tak Wo working on conjunction with Baldwins would seem the last seller to be peddling fakes and if you can't trust them who can you trust? Still, they are not yet proved guilty......so lets see what NGC say.
got an unofficial nod on the phone tonight that all is well........hope to get grades late tonight or tomorrow........relived as they pulled the 1914 triangle with recut stars and my 1933 junk boat dollar.
This is extremely hard to collect, as these coins are heavily counterfeited. I'd only purchase one if it was in a AUTHENTIC PCGS or NGC holder.
Other results less good..............AU details hairlines for my other shih kai and my 1933 rare junk boat dollar au details surface hairlines
