Because the sovereigns were almost none existing as almost all of the coins used in Iceland</p><p>at the time was Scandinavian they got the same sheep´s gold or “Sauðagull “in Icelandic.</p><p><br /></p><p>This is a typical sheep gold coin and I know for a fact that this particular coin was used to trade of sheep due to the provenance.</p><p><br /></p><p>Sometimes grade isnt everything, history rules !!!!
