Sharing the newest acquisition - 1986 ASE

Hi guys, I've been away for a while but haven't given up on this wonderful hobby. I bought several coins during this period of absence on the forum. The most beautiful coin was undoubtedly the one I'm presenting now.

What do you all think about her?

Congrats. Looks great. I've always preferred proof Eagles.

 

Thank you. I checked with 15x magnifying glass and there are no scratches on this coin. The details are very clear and perfect.

Hard not to like an early proof ASE.

 

And a beauty she is. I'm not really a collector of these, only a select few for their long term value as a retirement fund. Large quantities of bullion would only weaken the floor boards of my closet.

 

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I think the same. I have only one more. A 1997 ASE. But she has a mint error on the reverse (I guess)

Kinda looks like it was scraped on cement or some grinder.

 

I tought the same, but I'm confused because the rim on the obverse is .. I don't know how to tell. I took a picture.

 

Now that pic tells a different story. I just don't know what that story is.

 

I like the proof eagles. They are gorgeous coins.
