p.p.s. this type coin is one of the toughest to find unmolested. As an example, I've been looking for one for my typeset for over two years now in the same AU grade, and have found exactly one coin that I liked (and got outbid by a forum-friend). The point being, if you're going to settle for a coin with some minor problems (lack of luster, for example) this is one of the series that it isn't too hard to justify -- they are that hard to find. And other than the lack of luster, it is a well-above-average example with a wonderful strike and eye appeal.

p.p.p.s. Welcome to the forum, and I apologize if I sound overly harsh, but I am being completely honest with you -- because, frankly, you learn more from criticism than praise -- or at least I know I did.

Really, I take no offense and I always appreciate straightforward communication. At some point I'll get better pictures and then I'd like to come back to you to see if you feel differently. Anyway, again, thanks for speaking plainly!

Welcome. REALLY nice coin! You will find this place wonderful. CT people have helped me immencely! CT has helped me find good coins that I would have otherwise tossed into the junk silver bag! I too am newly returned to the art of coin collecting and loving it to the max! I am semi-retired and now have the time to devote to it.
