I have an idea, perhaps rather than having a blacklist, we could do a consumer report sort of thing. Rather than just have negatives, compare the facts between grading services, people would of course have to spend a little money to buy/grade the coins but they cant sue us for posting facts. So lets say someone buys 3 or 4 coins from SGS, different grades or whatever and then crack them out of the case and send them to the other grading companies and then report the results, it would be rather interesting to see which grading companies would grade the highest and lowest. Im not just saying this for the sake of making SGS look bad, but I honestly think it would be interesting to see. Maybe the project could be split between several people and each person buys one coin and gets it graded by the major companies, any takers?

Make no mistake about it my friend - ANYONE can sue ANYONE ELSE for ANYTHING. Being able to sue is not the same as being able to successfully sue, but defending a frivolous or unfounded lawsuit can be very, very, very expensive.:(

This is true. I think Im getting ahead of myself here, but I dont think its right to just sit here and do nothing about it, we should have some form of informing people of junk like this.

We are, it just has to be more subtle than an "avoid these [whatever] people" post. The bottom line is that people who don't take the time to be educated run the risk of being scammed, but what we can do is to make sure that if they come and ask about a specific seller or grader that we assist them in their learning process. Unfortunately, this isn't the most efficient method, but it is the method at our disposal. And it IS working, even if it isn't working as widely or quickly as we'd prefer.

Indeed, Ive allready directed several of my friends who have had questions about coins in general to this forum, so I guess we can only help those who are willing to help themselves or risk getting sued.

Contact SGS and see if you can submit a coin to them for grading by their company. If not...well the other TPGs will grade your coins.
