There are many magnificent bronze pieces struck for Septimius in the provinces, including one city particular city in the Balkans - I just do not recall. As i mentioned the provinces picked up the slack during this period especially in eastern Europe - I only wish I had some of the ones i have sold in the past. Some of these have a strong resemblance to portraits from the Rome mint and I have wondered if these were done by celator(s) traveling with Septimius as he made his way east and back to Rome. Who knows?
