    My G-ma loved her some elephants! She had quite the collection.
    Thanks Ya'll, the Photo's of different Denari, especially The Septimus. Them, are some great examples! The coin went into a nice inlaid Mahogany display box. Give it some time to re-tone.

    You can also get Caracalla elephants.

    Sweet coins everyone. This is my only example from Septimius Severus

    AR Denarius (18mm, 3.2g)
    -SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right.
    -INDVLGEN-TIA AV-GG, IN CARTH in exergue, Dea Caelestis, holding thunderbolt and scepter, riding lion leaping right over water gushing from rocks below.
