I did not go to the show looking for Eastern mint Severans but these two found me anyway. Both are 'Emesa' mint.

Septimius Severus AR denarius COS I / FORT REDIT Fortuna standing with rudder.
The T is weak but clearly there. There could be a second I beyond the point of the bust on the obverse but the die is new to me so I need to see another to be sure. The style is a bit ragged - especially the obverse legend. This one is new to me.

Julia Domna AR denarius FORTVN REDVC Fortuna seated with rudder and cornucopia RIC 624. I didn't have one of these so this was too nice to pass up.

The face on the Domna is outstanding. Two great pickups.

That's a really beautiful Domna, Doug. It's certainly got enough to make even a non-Eastern mint Severan specialist collector jealous!

Is fortuna really seated on the Sept' one ?
    Looks standing to my eyes

    Interesting pickups nevertheless

That's a fantastic Domna example...and one I'd love to have---she really does look beautiful on the coin!!

Beautiful coins! Some of those Emesa mint issues do have the strangest scribbling.
