I left the coin in the PCGS holder when I sent it in, and I never sent it to CAC. PCGS will remove it before they put it through the Secure Plus process so they can lazer the surface and grade it, etc. Although you can't see it in the photo, this coin oozes and glows with deep magenta luster. Everyone who sees it, including me, just drops their jaw. But it is correctly designated as brown - there is not enough underlying red to give it a red brown designation. As far as the marks, I'm not sure what you're seeing tpsadler, but most of what you mention is just not there. Of course there is the mark to the left of the wheat stalk on the reverse, and there are a couple very minute marks on the beard/face, but there is nothing above the date and what you see behind the head are not marks, more of very very slight darker toning or streaking. Any way, thank you for all your comments. I suspect it will go 64+ but we'll see in a couple weeks.
