Not a quarter, but a document. From AI...

The Mayflower Compact was a 1620 agreement signed by male passengers of the Mayflower, establishing a temporary, self-governing "civil body politic" for Plymouth Colony to ensure order and survival in the New World, creating "just and equall (sic) laws" for the general good, and laying early foundations for American self-government and the rule of law, despite its short-term function as an interim document.

A quarter that commemorates the Mayflower Compact.

Ok. I was initially thinking for some reason it was smaller which would make no sense for circulation.
ie, smaller diameter but a higher relief

The dime is by far the best and should be made permanent. First design from the mint to impress me for quite some time. The quarters are mostly lazy rehashes of presidential dollars, 19th century medals, and modern commemoratives. There was no effort to come up with somewhat homogeneous designs, so they just look like a hodgepodge rather than a coherent series.

As much as I like the dime, it has issues. At least 5 different fonts is a typographical crime. The large text makes it look rather busy. I took the liberty of fixing the obverse.

The dime is great and I agree that it should become the permanent replacement. Underwhelmed by the reuse of Presidents from other coins. It was a great opportunity to have another coin renaissance. I imagine some politics were involved in changing some of the designs previously approved, thus reusing some ideas.

Well to be fair in the early part of the war, he definitely was! It was a very rocky start for us; it's amazing we eventually won.

It may be the end, or at least a pause, of the Gilroy Roberts portrait of JFK. But from 2027-2030 Kennedy will still be on the half dollar, just with a new portrait (not been finalized yet but if you look online you can see the CCAC proposals). Just as the 2027-2030 quarters will get a new portrait of Washington.

They'll still be in the standard silver proof sets though. I don't usually get those but I'm making an exception for 2026!

those silver proof sets I have in a US Mint Subscription so I expect to get them too unless the price gets too crazy.
