selling coins at garage sales

Your wife is really, really correct. NO, it's not your so called friends or drinking buddies but are you sure you know everyone they know? Do you know all thier relatives? Anyone ever stop in that bar that you don't know? Many, many times it is the stories about coins and/or money that gets bloated out of proportion and creates that dangerous situation.
One of my neighbors used to talk about his Gold Coin collection. I knew what he had was really just a few Gold Coins of no big falue at least not worth what happened to him. He too has a safe in his house. Eventually someone heard about the MILLIONS in coins he had and broke in, forced him to open the safe at knife point, got mad at so little coins from what they heard and put him in the hospital for a long time.
