Question for the anti-Amazonians: why not? I've been selling coins on Amazon and have gotten a better response than on Ebay.

I've had good experiences selling coins on Amazon and none on Ebay.

Pretty broad statement. That's like saying "I don't trust teachers, doctors, mechanics, etc......

I don't trust politicians, lawyers, used car salesmen, realtors, funeral directors and anyone else who makes money of of other people's misery. Teachers, doctors, and mechanics don't fall into the aforementioned.

You trust mechanics!!!!! They can repair a perfectly good car over and over.

Mechanics don't dominate our Congress Lawyers do. Mechanics don't charge 10 X FMV for a coffin. Funeral directors do. Politicians have destroyed the USA, not mechanics. Realtors sell you homes without disclosing defects, not mechanics. Used car salesmen do the same thing that realtors do but with cars.

Tell that to my daughter after a mechanic sent her away after an oil change where he cross-threaded the oil filter and she ran low on oil and the engine seized.

Coin dealers don't fall into that categories either but somehow we have gotten an unsavory reputation anyway.

Many years ago when my older son was in grade school..........

There was a "Job day" where the students got to stand in front of the class and talk about the various jobs their fathers did.

My son Jason got up and said , "My dad plays a piano in a whore house!" His teacher hurriedly thanked him and thanked him and asked him to please sit down.

Of course I got called into a parent/teacher conference. The teacher asked me, Mr. Setree, you don't really play piano in a house of prostitution do you?

I said 'No of course not, I'm a rare coin dealer but how do you tell that to a nine year old kid!"

There are rotten eggs in every profession but I stand by what I wrote above.

Maybe the teacher who asked was looking for a night job...?
