<p>
I had some time on my hands today, so I decided to foray once again into numismatic photography. For a long while, I've wanted to use diffused lighting to photograph. I set up 2 light sources, but my homemade rig wasn't good enough -- I couldn't get enough light in. I guess I'm going to have to break down and purchase a cloud dome, or some similar device. </p><p> </p><p>In any case, with the two-source lighting, I got some okay pics of a couple of my raw 1938-1939 nickels. I just chose a couple with better toning. No certified coins in these shoots, and photos are not altered. I just downloaded Photoshop today, and haven't figured out how to use it yet. </p><p> </p><p>Enjoy.</p><p> </p><p>1938-P:</p><p><img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/1zf54lf.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/6zvtk6.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1938-D:</p><p><img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/14iijif.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/180jty.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1938-D:</p><p><img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/2w40buq.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/vp7scl.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1938-D:</p><p><img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/msycgg.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/4zsp6f.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1938-D:</p><p><img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/160af01.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i44.tinypic.com/21dg6qp.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1939:</p><p><img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/14303kn.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/10ga4gj.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1939-D: Not much toning, but really nice surfaces.</p><p><img src="http://i42.tinypic.com/avnbjt.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/211m1qr.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>1939-D: </p><p><img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/2db8g1d.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/30m61cp.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />
</p><p><br /></p>
