I think he took it to legal action ... It is a good case and would set a precedent for the future claims upon RPG guarantee's From the hobby center and think tank of MTS.LLC
If he took it to legal action, or threatened or claimed to take it to legal action both sides counsel would recommend no public statements be made about it any more. Both sides could ask for all legal fees be rewarded as part of the judgement. I think ... ask a lawyer. Of course, the judge could send both sides to try and resolve the issue before court. But even if this does/is/was resolved, it may have a gag order on it and no one will ever hear about it again. One could always check the electronic court system to see if anything was issued in either areas in the public records.
My guess is that, in one way or another, the OP finally came to accept the fact she wasn't going to pocket $14,000 over her little sham, and moved on to greener pastures. That said, I would hope Briggs made the downgrade right, but something tells me not to hold my breath.
Does Bluesheet even publish a SEGS pricing on what $10 Indians are worth in the market? On properly graded $10 Indians these are 64-66 market valuations: Price Guide* GRADE COIN WORLD (COIN VALUES) CDN BID/ASK CCDN NUMISMEDIA RETAIL NUMISMEDIA CAC NUMISMEDIA WHOLESALE HERITAGE VALUE INDEX NGC PRICE GUIDE NGC+ PCGS PRICE GUIDE PCGS+ COINPLEX SS/SU 64 $2,850 $1,950 / $2,145 $1,000.00 (P), $1,000.00 (N) $2,250 --- $1,800 $1,750-$2,150 $2,950 $4,000 $2,400 $3,200 ---/--- 65 $11,500 $7,500 / $8,250 $2,000.00 (P), $2,000.00 (N) $8,060 --- $6,450 $6,750-$8,250 $9,500 --- $8,750 $10,500 ---/$7,500 66 $20,000 $4,500 / $5,000 $3,000.00 (P), $3,000.00 (N) $16,060 --- $12,850 $13,500-$16,000 $19,500 --- $17,000 $27,500 ---/--- https://coins.ha.com/itm/indian-eag...8-5955.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 Or basically $1850 in 64; $6400 in 65; $12,800 in 66 for wholesale values. Doctored, problem coins have no ascertainable market value. By removing the coin from the old holder and putting it in the new one with zero communication with the owner, liabilities were assumed. ANACS reholders coins from their early generation small holder into the blue holder to make clear there is no guarantee except authenticity as with their gold holder. Anyone who buys non-NGC/PCGS coins over a certain dollar figure are personally assuming a lot of risk. One solution would be for one of the two market makers to certify the coin possibly also with a letter from a leading numismatist nailing down real grade and market on the coin--i.e. "would never grade MS65". Both parties, Segs and the customer should suffer some loss, the woman who bought the "BS66" coin was warned: Rare 1910 $10 Indian US Gold Coin SEGS Graded MS-66 You are bidding on the exact coin in the photo. Very rare in high grade. Please note SEGS is not considered a top tier grading service, please see photos for details.
If you truly believe it's okay for someone to come here and ridiculously claim she's owed $13k or $14k for no other reason than that's what she wants while refusing to accept any blame for her own stupidity, perhaps coming down off your high horse and back to the real world is worth your time.
Geee you think this is the only thread you act like this.... Seems you have both sides all the facts and the audacity to call people a liar, thief, and stupid on many threads. And i'm the one on the high horse? Do you read what you write? and even more scary believe it? If so, Im sure people around you must be thrilled with your presence, but then bird of a feather tend to flock together. Im sure you can find 2 from this thread to go to dinner and have Type A dominant Super Hero conversations with. Enjoy your your Holidays.....
Warning...TROLL ALERT, TROLL ALERT. @Britannia pops up on a thread with nothing to say and attacks a member! PS I think "Books" should make an excellent dinner companion. Regards, "a little birdie"
Wow you guessed your own name for dinner. I'm quite far from a toll as you say. I don't think its right how you and the aforementioned get your kicks off "attacks" of threads as you say and then have the audacity to call out others for the same tactics. but I do know you will say its just stating your opinions. But I do notice that there are very few times you have any positive things in your opinions. enjoy your dinner with your buddy. no worries your 2nd on the ignore list.
I addressed the issue in this thread, well, because it was the one in which you decided to whine over nothing that also had nothing to do with you. Silly me for assuming this to be within your ability to understand. While we may not have had an off-forum discussion, if you can find one person I have had one with who will tell you I was anything less than gracious, I'll show you another liar. Perhaps you're right though. When someone is obviously lying, stealing, or is a bumbling idiot, I really should look on the bright side, pat them on the back, and hand them a trophy for participating in this supposed learning experience we call life. You've helped me see the light and I cannot thank you enough. You don't have to like it, and can continue existing in your little utopian bubble all you wish, but sometimes "feelings" do more harm than good, and if you've spent enough time in this hobby to actually see the damage (to both it and the individual) that can come from ignorance, stupidity, and/or the fear of the truth, perhaps you'd be able to better grasp why this is. If the truth hurts, or if someone is spewing obvious BS, is the problem really with the person calling them on it? Respect begets respect: it's a very simple concept.
