I don't like this coin at all. The toning is dark and the colors and pattern are very suspect. Additionally, the overall grade is at the bottom of the collectible range for a common date Peace Dollar. I know that you are looking for a nicely toned Peace Dollar and probably don't want to pay the prices on Island's Website, but I think you will be disappointed with this coin.

I have purchased coins from this seller before and although I don't think he is a bad seller, he definitely has AT coins in his inventory and his photo's do not always accurately represent the appearance of the coin. Below is a photo of one of my purchases. The left photo is his and the right photo is mine. The coin looks like my photo.

As far as the apparent scratches on the left field of the obverse. I definitely think they are on the coin, but also believe they were caused by the die and don't affect the grade much. Here is a photo of a Jefferson Nickel that I own with similar lines in the right obverse field. The coin is graded MS67

This coin looks like a good deal, an affordable rainbow toned Peace Dollar. However, I don't think they really exist. Any attractively rainbow toned Peace Dollar will not be affordable, they will all be expensive, and rightly so. My guess is that this coin is probably not even as nice as the photos suggest, and IMO they make it look ugly. My advice is to pass and wait for a more eye appealing example with a little bit higher price tag. I think you can get a nicely toned Peace MS64 for $250.
