Dropped mine in the mail today. Exciting!

 

OH NO!!! My Saturnalia gift arrived, and I OPENED IT because I was expecting a different package to be coming from France!

Luckily Q was kind enough to have the gift fully enclosed inside the package, and has left me with a fun mystery:

I believe I got a package from my Secret Saturn. That is, I got a package with 6 coins that I didn’t order, so I think that’s what it is. No way to be sure though... I’ll wait until a later date to take pics and post!

 

I sent mine out today but was so concerned about wrapping and packaging that I forgot to put the letter in. I guess it will be more mysterious this way.

 

Now I can breathe normally. I was holding my breath since I dropped it at the post office : you never know how these tiny metal rounds can (or cannot) swim such a long distance.

The coin I got for my buddy is coming from Canada and has yet to arrive. Queried the seller this morning and it was posted the day after I ordered it two weeks ago. Evidently, there was a postal strike going on - I'm getting worried I won't get it to my secret pal on time.

 

I received my nicely wrapped gift yesterday!

Postal Strike is over ... hopefully shipments will make it on time.. although I am sure there is a backlog.

I'm super excited to participate this year however, I joined late (on December 1st) so I might struggle getting the gifts to my secret pal by the 17th. Fortunately the gifts are ordered and on their way to me!

 

Some folks just cant wait until Saturnalia morning

My gifts may not make it to the recipient by then. They have to travel a long way with a couple of stops.

 

When I shout “io Saturnalia!” to passersby on the street, they give me the strangest looks. Are they just trying to hide their excitement or are they really that clueless?
