Well, we should have our own, among the collectors of ancients. I'd like to do it, but frankly, I don't think most of the collectors on this forum, which are US collectors, would be interested in anything I have to offer them.

I've already signed up for a Secret Santa on another forum. I'd probably participate in this one too but I've pretty much ran out of coins to giveaway.
I'd still send one of them an ancient or two and hopefully get them interested in ancients collecting.

I think I'll pass, but if any of the YN's that frequent this forum, that is, the ancients forum, would like a nice Christmas present, PM me your address - if you have your parents' permission to do so.

Do it without your parents' permission. Stick it to the man. :p

Does 27 count as a YN? We are talking about ancients here, and I am MANY generations removed from the minting of these coins. In THEIR eyes I am surely a YN, heck we all are.

No, I'm sorry trey! 27 does not count as a YN, lol. Sheesh - you're old enough to smoke, drink, and procreate. :woot:

I think it's a cool idea, but don't want to inflict a cruddy ancient on a US collector. I have the added stigma of being 'international'.

Hey guys, don't let the fact that you are ancient collectors influence you decision to participate or not. We are all coin collectors and just like coins. Sometimes getting something completely different from your normal collecting is the most fun.

    That's my thought.

I said it in the other thread, but I would love to get an ancient for Christmas.

I played a football pool a couple of years ago on another forum and won. Steve sent me a really neat Canadian coin as my prize. I'm open to anything.

Ya me too. The stuff I got from @mikenoodle a couple years ago was a great addition to my collection.

I'm a yn to Ancients, i've only collected them for a few years...:D

I've been blessed with a very large US collection and only 5% is Ancients, i wasn't going to give a ancient coin till jw got in. people would know who sent it. with a few more of you would keep them guessing..:woot:

I think it would be cool if we did our own World and Ancient coin secret Santa here and you could do both or just ours. i'm up for both, we need to see if its ok, those who just want to keep it here could do so...
