I was only suspicious because you were the one who reminded me to get pics up! Awesome gift Mike - I'm really pleased and very grateful! I wouldn't have guessed the last name.
Yea I wished my recipient would've posted pics already ... maybe he is away on vacation, shows delivery on the 17th ... I could just tell you what I sent him, but where's the fun in that?!
Yes, this was a lot of fun and I am very glad I was able to participate! I am certainly going to do this again next year!
I just flew home from the left coast last night after spending time with family. A USPS box was waiting patiently to be opened. I want to apologize to my "Santa" for taking so long to express my appreciation. Inside the box was a 1985 Proof Set, a slabbed '43-S Lincoln, an Unc. '41 Mercury and several 1924 German banknotes of 20,000 Deutschmarks (inflation was rampant in post WWI). Thank you Santa! I have not figured out who you are but your first name is Jay - "ya did good!"
mine has still not arrived, usps or the royal mail have really excelled themselves with incompetence.
not yet swish, the postal service is abyssmal in the uk at present with theft by postal workers on the increase, maybe it will arrive soon as last year someone in the isle of man received a letter from their cousin in lancaster which was posted in 1963.
Well that's awful! I hope you get it soon. Also, never seen the gift I sent posted...I hope someone got it and enjoyed it.
Sorry to hear about that. I did not even know that this was open for non-US folks, but I do hope that you will get your ... errm ... Valentine present soon. Christian
My Secret Santa finally completed their delivery. You may recall I posted before Xmas that I'd received my package but the USPS had damaged it - the wonderful coin had it's slab cracked into several pieces... Well, my Secret Santa was kind enough to offer to have it re-slabbed, and the process is finally completed... A wonderful 1941 PR64RB penny - my first slabbed cent! Thank you again, Santa!!!
