I want to let it be known that I am not fishing for my secret santa's identity when I put up those "waiting" comments. Just felt compelled to post such and also maybe to encourage further posting by others to keep this thread active. I WANNA SEE PICTURES!!.
OK, that makes up for your 666th post. You are on your way again. I still remember when this whole secret santa thing was starting, you thought you couldn't get up to 50 posts so you could participate. Look at you now, you've become a regular.
Lonegun, I'm baking some cookies tomorrow, but I'm sure I couldn't get them to you in time.. Sorry, no help here..
I appreciate the thought, I will manage this somehow. First thing Monday morning, I am going to the post office. PS Because I am rather late, what are some suggestions on beefing it up so the wait will be worth it?
Well, seeing as it isn't coming to me, I guess I'll leave the gold coins off the suggestion list... LOL! My Secret Santa was very kind to me....unfortunately the US Postal service wasn't quite as kind....they kinda broke my gift in transit. But my Santa has been in contact and has very generously offered to repair their damage... I am very grateful.
Well now...suppose a poster used their first name and then added a numeral after, then suppose you get a package that has the same users first name from this forum...I don't know... My Santa didn't use a first name on the return address.
Yesterday I received a package from somebody named Cannyn. I already received my Secret Santa gift so this must be an extra! Thank you Caz for hosting this again. It really is a lot of fun seeing the replies from the person you sent to (yes, they had no patience!). I'm holding out until Christmas Eve before I open mine, but it may be pretty early on the 24th. Pictures will follow. Merry Christmas to all here on Coin Talk and a Happy New Year!!! Joe
Back to my question. Do you all think maybe 2 proof sets and 2 slabbed coins will make up for it being late?
