That's just because he is so proud he taught the ancient Assyrians how to carve into stone in the first place.

 

I entered into a mutual participation in an event with the understanding that everyone participating would at least match a certain value. The OP with out informing anyone sent a (albeit nice) small token gift to several people with no explanation of his intent to do so and with no explanation that it was outside the realm of the event he himself was involved in. I felt insulted that a person would enter in to the event attempting to obtain something of value, with out even the courtesy to enter something at a tenth of what was asked to participate. Once the confusion was cleared up I didn't have an issue with the OP, several people wished to view it how they chose and launch attacks, I felt inclined to defend my position and still stand by my position whether you or anyone else feels I was right or wrong. It is not about the giving or receiving, my point all along was about every member should have the decency and honesty to enter with an attempt to reach the minimal of the event parameters.

 

Wow. And now further attacks, when from the start I have done nothing wrong.

 

Okay, enough is enough, let's all drop the fact that DCTJR got upset and confused, let's all play nice and forget this mishap.

As I always try to live by, "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."

So please, let's drop this problem that is making many people upset, forget that this happened and all have a merry Christmas.

Goldmember was right when he said this is a terrible year, I almost died twice, almost got shot, and lost a dear friend over $50, but the past has passed and we can't change it, but we can forget about this. The whole point of this is to meet new people, make new friends, and exchange something cool.

Let's drop the rusty knives, and not let this infectiously spread and destroy what cheer we have left. Let's upgrade to a brand new knife so the cuts are cleaner.

And to DCTJR, I request that if you don't like them, give them to your kids, or other kids who take a keen interest into numismatics or your collection. That way they serve a better purpose than sitting under my bed.
