Hirohito ruled from December 25, 1926 (Christmas Day!!!) until his death on January 7, 1989. Then I have a 10 Sen, also from Showa era, year 7 (1932), a 5 Sen from year 11 (1922) of Taisho era, which was the era preceding Hirohito's reign and which was ruled by Emperor Yoshihito, son of the Meiji Emperor. His reign was not super long, only from July 30, 1912 to December 25, 1926, but a lot did happen during that time and his son Hirohito got a lot of experience early on because Yoshihito was a sickly man and some time in 1919 actually stopped doing his duties, with most of it being entrusted either to the Japanese Diet or his son. Yoshihito was only in his 40s when he passed on. After the 5 Sen in the Taisho era, I have three 10 Sen coins from the Showa era again. The first one (top right) is from 1946 (year 21) and the bottom two are from years 15 and 16 (1940, 1941).

Thank you, SS for these coins.
