This year went by too fast. Glad we get to do this again.

I’m in too. It’s usually the most enjoyable present to open.

I agree. Fun time of the year to get something from like minded people.

May I make a suggestion that before sending a gift to your recipient, check out some of their posts and see what they are interested in.

How about one with hole and a tough patch on the surface? That’s worst one I have seen. It was in one of the late Catherine Bullowa’s auctions in the mid 1970s. I think it sold for about $400. Nice ones were selling for around $2,000.,

You might suggest that, but sometimes it’s hard to buy something that is beyond your expertise.

I’d take it. I can always trade up. I’ve seen a few holed I honestly think someday i might get a nice original skin circulated one the mid 70s I either wasn’t here or was in diapers. I’m a bicentennial baby

Agreed. Why everyone always gets something early from me. Lol. It may not be an off the charts coin. But I guarantee it’s probably something they don’t have

What I was trying to say is that I would prefer to get a collector who specializes in U.S. coin. I post in the hammer and milled British areas and in the Imperial Roman section, but I would not be comfortable trying to pick something out for those advanced collectors. They are well beyond me, especially in the Roman area.

I’m in! The best part is watching everyone else open their gifts on Xmas!

I would love to be a part of this year's secret Santa but I sadly don't meet the requirement of 150 messages. If there is any chance an exception could be made I would be thrilled, if not I guess there is always next year .

    Hello all!

The sign up date is fast approaching! Thanks to all who have responded with your addresses. I still lack a couple, so please get those to me before Saturday.

I should have everything sorted out and everyone's recipients sent Saturday afternoon/evening.

As far as mailing your gift, you can mail as early or late as you feel so long as the package will arrive by Christmas. In my personal experience it seems packages are taking 1-2 extra days to arrive than what is printed on the tracking receipts. I don't expect this to improve!

It is best to not include anything related to secret Santa or a gift on the outside of your mailing package to thwart thieves. As far as inside packaging....go nuts!

If anyone else has any mailing tips/tricks, feel free to share.

Good morning all! Sign ups are closed and I've messaged all of the participants their recipient's information.

Please mail your gift promptly. And recipients don't forget to come back to this thread to show off your gift and thank your secret Santa!
