Message to my SS. I was going to wait to open but I got 4 packages today (3 off ebay) and I was checking return addys and indications it was ebay and not SS. But I was not as careful as I thought I was and because of the packaging I thought it was something I ordered. I opened it and the coins and candy cane dropped out. That's when I looked at the return addy and saw SS... oops. But I am so thrilled and your gift of gorgeous, stunningly beautiful coins, 2 dollar bill and nice letter was even better than what I wanted in my wildest dreams! So that's saying alot! I will be trying to photo them well over the next couple days. SS, you have been soooo good to me. Thank you!
Many thanks to my SS, who sent me the four nice coins you see below. Your gift is much appreciated. You put your return address on the envelope (I didn't) but you omitted your name, so it really is a secret.
Mine were sent out from my work, so it has our business address. If you get an unusual white box, open it.
Oooo! Ohhh! My Secret Santa did not forget about LaCointessa! In fact Santa sent an envelope addressed to LaCointessa with no other name! That's so fun! Thank you Secret Santa. It is from Illinois! I am going to shake the package a little bit. There is certainly at least one small metal object inside. But wait. Let me give it the full treatment my grandfather would have given a gift for him before it was time for him to open it. He sat me on his knee and questioned me about what could be inside knowing that I knew what it was. My job was not to confirm or deny. (My earliest instruction on keeping a secret. Geee whiz he was tough on a 4 year old.) Okay...let me see. There is definitely more than one coin in here!!! Two at least..wait..... wait! These are monsters! Huge coins. I mean, since I am usually looking at ancient coins, these are gigonda! I wonder what they are? They can't be US coins I don't think. They feel thinner than US coins I have seen of this size. I'm thinking they must be world coins of some sort? Hmmmmm. I dunno if I am going to be able to waaaiit. Hey @Kasia, you did not wait by mistake/on purpose, right? Should I open it? or wait?
@LaCointessa I did not wait by mistake/on purpose. Though if it had been another 24 hours, yes that would have been it! Ha Ha.
Thanks in advance to my secret Santa, I received my package and it's under the tree. Since my wife and I got new furniture and the car she wanted this month, we decided not to do gifts this year so I'm holding strong til Christmas as it'll likely be the one thing I have to open that morning!
I love reading about other people's gifts! It's fun seeing what people pick out for each other. Still nothing at my PO Box yet....
Got a nice surprise in the mail today. I'm not gonna open it but of course I had to give the package a pat down and shake it vigorously to try to get an idea what's inside. I feel something that seems like the package that the Carson City Morgan dollars or those Ikes that get really toned come in. Also there's like three loose coins (in flips). I think i hear foreign silver. 5 days to see if I'm right . Needless to say I'm very excited!
Welp, I was wrong about Nates' package being secret Santa...........Got a package today from Plano, TX. That's close to the North Pole, right?
