While I have already posted a few, CT members were really too nice to me this year and I am feeling a bit guilty for all of the gifts received. But here is a nice Franklin Mint piece sent to me from @Cascade. A lovely sterling silver reproduction of a casino token of The Palm Beach at Cannes, France. Thank you Cascade for such a thoughtful gift.

I have mine to post. I'll actually post a video link from my channel of the wonderful items I received.

I have had some time to photo my SS gifts. From the upper right. 1944 S 1 Centavo, Middle 42 P Jefferson and Bottom 1944 D 10 Centavos. I really like the designs. IMG_2898.JPG IMG_2899.JPG

The last one, definitely a favorite of the bunch, as I have been collecting CWT's for a little bit. this is a rev. That I do not have, Also a rev that is not labeled on WWW.cwtoken.com
As far as I have gotten it is a Scovill's obv die 82 Has a small cud above the fourth bead in the head band. Military trophies rev. closest to 352a. Mine has an extra tassle coming from the center left flag pole under the Cap IMG_2900.JPG IMG_2903.JPG
Great gifts Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Please let me know if you haven't received your gift yet, I have a couple of santas on standby to make sure that nobody goes without a gift.

To the generous members who sent me gifts that I have not posted yet. I am working on trying to get some nice images to show them. You were so generous that I really want to display them as well as I can.

I think this may end up being second Christmas where my recipient has not acknowledged on this thread that they have received it and/or shared what it was --- with pictures if at all possible., because on this forum it is pictures or it didn't happen.

A large part of the joy I get is knowing my recipient got the SS gift and cared enough to share what it was, to show others. Because seeing what everyone got is so much fun and I think a lot of others feel the same.

Hey everyone, finally had some time to put this video together. A lot of variety of coins, so I thought a video would capture some of the material. Thanks again Kirk!

I didn't post this to blast anyone in particular. But to be fair, another week is into January when people start focusing on other things and this thread gets less and less views and posts. Almost like if you haven't put anything up by Jan 2-5, why even do it. Occasionally you do get a traveller who honestly has no way of checking into this site for even the minute or so it might take to mention a gift was received and/or opened, but that should not be the norm.

I do hope to see January posts also because the more sharing the better.

Instead it is more to be vocal that it can be somewhat disappointing, and I am speaking up when what I perceive as a larger group of people (participating) are likely to take notice.

I wonder how many of your 16,215 subscribers are going to show up for Cointalk secret santa next year after seeing your Youtube video.

People who do not follow these simple rules:

Should be questioned prior to entering in next year. Its just not right.

although it's a great idea... it never translates into practical use. Every year, there are some people who don't post, and it really kinda wrecks the spirit of the exchange.

But hope springs eternal and maybe they will next year... so... let 'em all in!

This was a great time!! This was my first year on CT, and I've just been blown away with the generosity and good cheer that I've found on this site! I couldn't possibly thank everyone enough.

Nathan, this was the first year I have sat on the sidelines and watched, and it was great even as a spectator sport! It made my Christmas a little better, and I appreciate that!

Wow ! The whole idea was amazing ! Unfortunately , I have not read the post earlier so to take part , this "idea" is only for collectors in USA , or worldwide ?Because I am from Greece ...

    Thank you !

There are members who participate from outside of the US. Most times the person who runs the exchange will pair non-US members for exchange since the time frame for delivery may be different than that of domestic post.

So, no... please join us next year!

Give it time. I'm traveling for the holidays and had I not opened mine early and thought to bring a pic of it with me on my phone, my secret Santa would still be waiting for a posting as well.

See the first post where Kirk writes "I'm sorry, but this will be open to US residents only unless a few volunteers sign up to ship internationally." So theoretically it is for people in the United States only - but as soon as somebody (in the US or elsewhere) writes that s/he is willing to be a Global Santa, we aliens ;) can participate as well.

Problem is that shipping will be more expensive, and if an item gets lost (happens rarely but happens), it may be more difficult for postal services to find it again than if you send something within your own country. I've had my own share of bad luck, and this year I did not participate, but mostly for other reasons. On several previous occasions it has been a lot of fun for me, and I will probably be in again next time. Try it out in 2017!
