I pulled some strings to make that happen for the CT secret Santa this year; snow really messed us up last year and I was determined to not let it happen again. You're welcome.

Well, I held out a few days before tearing into my Secret Santa stash. Santa must know my love of history! What a haul!!!!!:)

First is a medal issued in honor of the 1960 christening of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise...

Then I got my very own racketeer coin! A V-nickel dipped in gold and passed off by enterprising felons as a $5 gold coin in the 1880s. Read up on it and you'll find out a possible reason for the expression "You must be joshing me."

And finally, nine foreign coins: Italy, Germany, Philllipines, Japan, India, Argentina, and some that Santa has left for me to research. Cool!

Thank you Santa! And Merry Christmas to all!:)

I finally got a chance to take some pics. The first thing my eye's saw was this.

I thought "Yay, a nice proof Silver Eagle, that's really nice." Taped to the box was a plastic currency protector with a nice assortment of foreign Bank Notes. They are beautiful. I really like them.

    IMG_4444.jpg IMG_4445.jpg IMG_4447.jpg IMG_4448.jpg IMG_4449.jpg

Then I opened the Eagle box to see what kind of surprise was inside. I was expecting a proof Silver Eagle. But I was wrong.

A hand written letter was on top. I opened it up and read it. Then I noticed this beauty was staring up at me from under where the letter had been. I had to do a double take. Then a smile stretched across my face that still hasn't receded. The toning in some of the places is just outstanding. I was so elated, I gasped and thought of what I may have done to deserve this.

Under this beauty was a blue piece of paper sealed with tape. Inside was the answer to the Attribution, if I could not decipher it my self and wished to cry uncle.

Below that was a piece of paper folded up with a few coins added to give weight to the box. Hence, convincing me it was a proof Silver Eagle.

I must say. This has been one of the funnest and most incredible gift's I have received in quite a long time. I really am in love with the QBH Santa. You hit a grand slam home run. Thank you very much and have your self a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!

Just wanted to let my Santa know that my gift was received - Kirk told me that he had some concerns with the tracking information. I've held out on opening it... so far.

I apologize for making my Santa nervous. I didn't see the rule that we should post receipt of gift to the thread. Mine arrived late last week some time. I am planning to hold out until Christmas before opening it, though. Thank you!
