Ho ho ho! Santa Time!

Errm, yes. Turned out today that the coins from my S.S. did not get lost. It was just a combination of late shipping (but I know why, so that is OK) and the fact that I had to pick the package up at the customs office, instead of getting it in the regular mail.

The Customs people had not been able to figure out how much in terms of import charges I would owe them. Once they saw it was obviously a gift, I could leave without paying ... Thank you for these silver halfs, Santa!

I think we should have a round of applause for Kirk. He did one heck of a great job moderating the 2014 Secret Santa and I know he put a ton of his time in doing so. I think this has been the best S-S ever!

 

Let me belatedly second that. Met him on Thursday in New Orleans; this was a pretty spontaneous meeting. Even though it was fairly late, @Kirkuleez came to our hotel, and we talked for quite a while. Really nice guy, not only because he gave me some Mardi Gras tokens , common ones but also a pretty rare piece. (Long story.) It was good seeing you, Kirk!

The pleasure was all mine @chrisild. I'm so happy that I had the rare opportunity to catch up with you, it was a true pleasure. I've only been fortunate enough to meet a few CT members in person so far, but each time its been a memorable occasion.
