Mine have to change out the bags also, but I just stand there patiently and smile when they finally come. I chat them up when they come out and let them know if they have to go take care of something (other customers) it won't be any problem. That has cut down the "oh geez, here he comes again" attitude.

TCF doesn't have bags, so I don't deal with that. It counts it then dumps everything in 1 bin. Kind of strange.

I've been dumping a box of halves at a few banks daily. The tellers and managers get used to it. Some of them get excited and ask me if I found anything.

Last time I walked into US Bank I was the only customer in there and only 1 lady clerk behind the counter. I asked for rolls of coins (very vague question, not even for specific denominations). She acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, and didn't take the effort to ask another person working there about coins. "We don't have coins except for whats in the registers..." That's all I got from them. Another time before I came in got a similar answer. They have a huge vault too for crying out loud, not to mention I went into one of the biggest branches.

One time a clerk even suggested I "check out local coin shops for coins"! Typically a coin shop won't carry modern rolls of pocket change. That's what BANKS do. Total facepalm. I use US Bank as a service, but for my coin hobby, totally forget about them.

I decided to open an account today. Strictly to monitor my Coin Habit.
Coin star, was 8.9 cents on the dollar.the last time I used them.
Anyways the Galls in there, said they had no problem getting coins for me.
It was a great pleasure. I brought them $553.79 this morning.
They were laughing, I wasn't sure if they truly believed me.

I have to assume it's technique then. Or something. I rarely have issues and if I do, they ask if I have a business account or something. I'm always polite and it depends on the teller you get. Charm goes a long way.

I went to another bank here (which I don't have an account under) and got coins from them. No issues.

I did something I thought I never would. I was out for work and stopped at a bank that I don't belong to and went in with $5 in my pocket. All I had. I asked for halfs and she pulled out 2 rolls of CWR. She opened the first and I could see it was a skunk. I pulled the "my son collects old coins" card. Which is ture just not why I was there and ask her to look at the other roll. She did without a question and pulled out a 40%er. So I took the 4.50 and the one silver and walked out. I was amazed I did not get questioned more.
