Are dollars worth searching? I am asking about Ikes and Gold dollars.

If they are what should I look for? My bank has $250 that I would like to
pick up, but not sure if it is worth my time...

    Thanks---Steve

If they are IKES, yes, pick them up. People flip them all the time for $1.25, and you can make yourself a nice little profit. If they are the gold dollars...no comment.

I ask for dollar and half dollar coins whenever I'm hitting banks. I really only want the Ikes, but I buy up the gold dollars and SBA's too because the tellers are usually glad to be rid of them. I give em a quick check for keys, proofs, NIFC, and errors then throw them in my dump box.

There are some rare presidential dollars that were minted with no wording on the edges. Extremely rare error.

Not very rare, George Washingtons are the most common. You can picked up a MS one less than 50 dollars.

I pick them up IKES, SACS & PREZ. The SBA really doesn't grab my attention but I keep them
