Whether the count is actually right or not was not my point, I didn't post to say "maybe I got shorted". Never once have I "whined" here, about the banks owing me something for nothing, or anything else, but obviously you have a different agenda here and chose to direct your frustrations towards me. Why Chris? Because I CRH? Now you're a self proclaimed authority about my expectations and motives? The more you say the clearer it becomes how little of a clue you have. You don't realize that you've got the wrong guy here, or aren't mature enough to either admit it or at least just shut up.

I go to the banks and ask them for a service that they are willing to provide, they have control of all the terms of the transaction and I comply with them. They know I'm hunting and still they smile and say "hope to see ya next week!" It's good customer service. So really? Your position is that when for the first time after years, multiple boxes from different sources show up with unusual signs of tampering, it's inappropriate to put it out there and ask others if they've seen anything similar or maybe it's an isolated case? That make me a whiner? And what's that got to do with expecting something for nothing?

Yeah you're very smart Chris with you're profound revelation 5 years ago... Do you really think that's when your 'problem' started becoming a 'burden' to the banks? CRH was much more prevalent 50 years ago when silver and wheaties were still a common find, yet banks have survived just fine all these decades.

Chris, I didn't answer your question before for soooo many reasons. It was and still is irrelevant to the purpose of my post. I didn't even know the answer because I hadn't counted. The tone of your comments didn't deserve that I even dignify it with a response. Contrary to some others advise, I kept the box to search for varieties and other interesting finds because that's what I do. Maybe you're surprised that I'm not just tearing through thousands of coins looking for silver, dumping mass quantities on the bank, and complaining I didn't find enough? Yes it's nice to find silver too, the more the better. and you're right about one thing... I am disappointed when I don't find anything of value. Very intuitive of you! But it's hope not expectation that keeps me coming back. So now I've gone through the rolls, didn't find much this time, better luck next time. Let me answer your question now:

This type of deception probably wouldn't have gone undetected if these rolls were handled individually, but when packed in a 'sealed' box...

Strange that only 3 rolls out of all the tampered ones were like this, makes me wonder if the perpetrator just replaced the silver he found with nickels because he didn't have any unrolled halves.
