Scratches

    If my silver is scratched or even dented, does this make the value of it go down? I am not really sure if it would or not.

    The numismatic (collectable) value could decrease but if you paid the spot price (value of the metal) then it will not be affected.

    I am afraid you lost the silver weight otherwise the value remains same.
