Scratches vs. Die Polish Lines

    It's very easy. As I have said before about that very picture - they are not all die polish lines. Some of those lines are the result of dies scratches, and some of those lines are post strike scratches on the coin, and some of those lines are die polish lines.

    I had bought close to half a roll of these 1959's. There were at least 6 or 7 different obverse dies use for this group of 20-25 coins. Four dies were used to strike multiple examples from this group. This particular obverse die was used for 3 of the coins. Pic 2 and 3 are the same coin with different lighting which shows some lines hidden from the other photo.
