    Scarf (transitive verb)
    scarf (scarfed, scarfing, scarfs)
    eat greedily
to eat or drink something greedily or noisily (slang)

I’ll keep this post brief. Here are two cents in one NGC fat-boy slab. Pretty sweet ‘eh?

In addition to the cup & saucer cents above, I also scarfed this 3D nickel:

It was a good day for collect89’s error coin collection. :):D:) I'll post obv/rev photos later tonight.

Please post some caps or 3D coins or anything relevant. Post 'em if you got 'em.

Look out! Look out! I gotta "bob & weave" to avoid Mr. P's drool dripping down from above.

    Both are really cool errors.

Some people might wonder how errors like this could escape QC at the Mint. The only way I can think of is that they ended up in a 2,000lb. ballistic bag and then were transferred to a $50 Mint bag.

    What do you think, guys?

Considering all the security at the mint, coins like these must get out in bags.

As promised, here are obverse and reverse photos.

I do have another cup and saucer Lincoln cent die cap. This one is dated 1985 It is approximately 3/8” thick and it’s housed in a capital holder.

Wow! Very cool die cap cents and 3D nickel, @Collect89. Such eye candies. :)

For bonded die cap, I wonder if the coins are actually fused together, or just locked together by the immense minting pressure.

Here is my 2007 reverse die cap Dime.

I always wonder: could this coin be part of a bonded die cap, but later got loose and separated? Or, maybe it is stuck on the anvil die by itself, and obverse got blurred in multiple strikes?

    Any comment, @Collect89, @paddyman98, @Fred Weinberg ?
