This is yet another coin that I've had for a while without proper attribution, and it is provides another pleasant surprise. This 1795 H10C is a Valentine-2, LM-3 (Logan-Mcloskey) variety, rated R-5. Not a common die pairing. One attribution point is the die-break running from the edge through the upright of 'R' into the bust - weak, but evident of this example. I always thought the weakness at the bust was damage of some sort, but upon comparison with other examples in the HA archives it turns out is is a 'strike-through', same as that seen on this example of the same variety: Check your coins for rare die varieties you may have missed!
I would love to add an early half dime to my collection, haven't found one yet I can afford. Nice coin very envious
