And, does it have any worth above face value ?? Thanks

    That's a wide rim.
Ebay sold prices range from ~$6 and up. Yours has some wear and tear from circulation so I would expect it would be closer to lower end.

I found it to be different from this one that seems to be much farther from the rim 0D98B2D5-0524-4B83-80D8-52874E0F0F4E.jpeg

    Do you see the difference?

Hello @Wheels . You are confusing the application of the terms "wide" and "narrow". A "wide rim" SBA (aka "near date") is what you originally posted. Your second post, first coin is a "narrow rim" (aka "far date"). If you have a Red Book, there is a good set of pictures to help you differentiate them. If you don't, I encourage you to buy one. Congrats on the "find"! I only have a handful of the 1979-P "wide rim".

Yes, sorry going back and forth :facepalm:so the wide rim is the one with the date closer to the rim and is the one that is a better find ? I have many of the other ones -narrow rim- I will return to the bank then

Yes, you are correct. :cigar: The narrow rim (far date) is very common. ;)

yea I have one in pretty nice shape so scratches or mars and from what I could see from ebay sold items mine about $10.00 I was thinking more along the lines of about 4 to 6 or 7 maybe. AND YOU NEVER KNOW when two folks want the same item and get into a bidding war. I have marked 2 a wide and narrow and put them away myself.
