I don't bother (nor do I even consider seeking a coin) with 'FT' (full talons). Unless it gets recognized by the CPG, or it's designated by one of the 4 major TPG'S, it doesn't exist...it's a non-entity. With 'full bell lines', 'full steps', 'full torch'/'full bands'... extra designations.... it's just getting crazy. What's next, 'FW' (full windows) on the Jeff memorial??? Certain people have tried to get 'Full Talons' recognized for quite some time now....ain't happening, won't bring any premiums, unless they ARE designated. And that will NOT happen with SBA's.

Just as an aside, one of the 'authors' of cpm9ball's link had the highest graded SBA set, with single pop-tops (and was the leader in trying to convince, for years, PCGS to give the designation.....end result...NOPE!). I believe it was just one more way for him to get even more $$ upon his sale of his set/sets. Heck, I could say a coin has full talons.....it has no bearing on the price. An MS67 SBA is an MS67 SBA, with or without 'full talons'. Again, if they aren't recognized by anyone. I have a top 10 registry set of SBA's, with 6 pop-tops, and the increase in price from when I first purchased them is MUCH more than enough for me to be happy with the results when they get sold (which will be soon). So, 'full talons' is just an old wives tale started by someone who had a stake in it, in order to push prices up.

If there were REALLY full TALONS, by definition, we'd be able to see an actual claw, which I don't see on ANY of the images in the link. They look like fingers, not talons. That first image can NOT be of an MS64 coin...I'd have to see it to believe it, then call the grading company on it for it being overgraded by at least 5 grades....image #1 is of a coin with obvious rub on it. Just another way of trying to suck more $$ out of a buyer...much like the difference in price between a 1975 MS67 Roosie (CU guide is $275), and a 1975 MS67FB Roosie (CU guide is $1,150). Without the designation of 'full bands', a '75 Roosie in MS67, with or without 'full bands', would still be a $275 coin.

Don't get sucked into the 'full talon' thing. That 'alleged' #1 full talon set (and I know DRG is an expert on the series), well, the certs still did not show 'Full Talons' on them, did they? No, they didn't. It was simply a #1 SBA set. End of full talon story.
