Don't have a pic, because I came across it at work and didn't think it was anything special, as I've never really heard of anything like it. But it was a dime, I don't remember the year, but instead of being round, it had this weird polygon-ness (for lack of a better word) on the rim of the obverse and reverse (not around the edge encompassing the thickness of the dime). Kind of like an octagon, but with many more edges (didn't count them).

So fellow coin collectors. Anyone know what was up with that? I'm assuming PMD. But how would something like that even happen? Some kid with a blowtorch and straight edge get bored or something?

PMD and a vise could do it.

As is often said here - we need pictures to be able to make a good guess.
