Well, since I previously added a short post to this thread regarding the Innovation Golden Dollar series, I thought I'd also add a short post about...

The 2026 Semiquincentennial Trump Golden Dollar.





From the U.S. Mint's website...

• Celebrate a historic American milestone, the official United States Mint-issued Semiquincentennial $1 Coin was struck to honor 250 years of great American heritage.

• The obverse features a portrait of the sitting President, Donald J. Trump, with the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776 ~ 2026.” Obverse was designed by United States Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna, inspired by an official White House photo by Daniel Torok.

• The reverse (tails) design features the Presidential Seal, which shows an eagle holding an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, with a shield on its breast and a banner inscribed “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in its beak. The shield contains the additional inscription “250” to honor the Semiquincentennial of the United States. The additional inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR.”

• The coins—minted at the Philadelphia Mint—have circulating finishes but have never been placed into circulation. However, they may be still used as legal tender.

That last bullet point contradicts another statement found on the Mint's website which says...

The 2026 Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin will be released into circulation and available for purchase in bags and rolls, exclusively from the United States Mint.​

I don't know which is true.

I recently rekindled the numismatic spirit in my 22 yo great nephew. Presidential dollars were what he was interested in, primarily. Just sent him 15 that he didn’t have. I picked up some at local banks since I have 5 different banks to choose from. They are always happy to give me all they have.

 

That abomination got me infracted in another thread. I've got a big mouth.....
