I probably have a few hundred total of sacs and susan b's. Toss in a few Ikes all for my "vacation" fund as it were. Now, assuming you have all of this stuff "just for fun" why do you post it? Are you that well off? - and even if you are, once again, why do you post? Here's your initial post. Your posts and logic (or lack thereof) are amazing at times albeit confusing as hell. So what's next? You just bought a few thousand Gold eagles at $109 over spot for fun?
sac dollar mint sac dollar in bags were sold out. i was late again. i will try to buy some next year 2008. which is the last year i think.
2008 is the last year for the Sackie as we know it today. The 2009 coin will have a new Rev. and may or may not have the Sackie Obv.
sac question i wonder just the mint declared sold out on the sac bags. the total sales including the rolls reached only 3.1 million. but the production report registered 7.56 million. where are the other 4.46 million sac?.
If they keep the Sackie Obv. in 2009 will the coins be dated twice? Congress and the mint should get on the same page.
ok so I happen to like the new President coins LOL going against the trend I know, so I have posted the first 2 pairs that I have along with my first Sac. I would like to try and get a deep cameo version of that, I think it would look lovely. Now as to which looks better I would have to say the Sac takes it but only just LOL 2007d $1 Presidential Issue Statue of Liberty George Washington 1732–1799 1st President of the USA 2007p $1 Presidential Issue Statue of Liberty George Washington 1732–1799 1st President of the USA 2007d $1 Presidential Issue Statue of Liberty John Adams 1735–1826 2nd President of the USA 2007p $1 Presidential Issue Statue of Liberty John Adams 1735–1826 2nd President of the USA 2007d $1 Bald Eagle in flight Sacagawea and her son, Jean Baptiste 1788–1812 Modeled on a Shoshone woman named Randy'L He-dow Teton 2007p $1 Bald Eagle in flight Sacagawea and her son, Jean Baptiste 1788–1812 Modeled on a Shoshone woman named Randy'L He-dow Teton Mock me if you will I dont care LOL
Its okay...I likes them as well They look great after a bit of toning (carried in the hand and pocket for awhile). Not to say they blow me away...but they are pretty nice and I like the idea as well. A lot of the kids I know love them and when I see people get them in change, they often kinda light up. Which reminds me...I think its time to drop a few in the mail, I forgot
unc sac 2001 dollars now the mint throw out most of the 2000 and 2001 sac dollars and susan anthony $ into circulation. you can find some unc 2001 sac dollars too. so far i did not see any james madison in circulation.
prez dollar roll now that the president dollar roll wrapper can be as attractive as mint wrapper. why still people buy it from the mint at a very high premium $35.50 per roll. while you can get it from your bank at face value for $25.00. and the wrapper is colorful. well, the bank roll can also be purchase at dealer for $37.00 per roll. that is expensive.
The roll wrapper from the mint is distinctive and some people will pay extra to get "Mint wrapped rolls" even though the coins are the same.
sac vs: prez after collecting those dollars a while, i think i still like sac dollar than prez dollar. i don't like the prez edge. it looks like damaged.
I like the prez dollars. Look at the price on Ebay of the presidential dollar coins in the regular bank roll wrappers and the ones in the special Mint wrappers. The price is a lot more for the Mint rolls. They say the best is still to come. The JFK & Ronald Reagan dollar coins are expected to be hoarded the day the come out. It' s kind of interesting as the previous president (Carter) needs to be deceased before the next president's coin can be produced. I think it's either two years or four years. If President Carter is still around I wonder if Congress would make a special exemption? Besides Carter's coin would come before Reagan's.... I think the further they go into the Presidential dollar coins releases the more popular they will become.
sac and prez next year and there after. the sac dollar were have one more coin to face the challenge from the four prez dollars. so we have six dollars and six quarters designs. and also four lincoln cents. wow. too many but enjoyable.
No just five dollars. Four Presidents and one Sac dollar. The Sac just has a new reverse each year. The flying eagle reverse is going bye bye.
