Bought these 2 Sabina coins in auction for 60 euro, like the different hair styles.
the as of 11,8 gram is sometimes described as AS and sometimes as Dupondius.

Please show your Sabina bronze, especially the ones with the funny stephane hair style. Thank you coin amigos.

60 Euros each or for both? Either way, that was a bargain. Super nice IMHO.

Very nice coins, VERY nice price. Well done @Andres2 ...

Goofy how humans get caught up in styles, especially goofy ones from "leaders". Humanity becomes sheep...

I have no bronze of her, but I do have a Denarius:

Great price for those andres! I'd LOVE to get a Sabina coin, she is in a pretty high position on my list. I think it's the funky hair I dig!

Finding different hairdos for empresses is fun : you can hunt them for Sabina, Faustina jr (her early portraits under A. Pius are to die for), and some others.
I've put together all the different hairdos I could find for Plautilla when I collected this empress

A - Her first portraits show a draped bust right, hair coiled in horizontal ridges and fastened in bun in high position :

B - Then her hair is being coiled in vertical ridges, with bun in low position :

C - The third bust shows a thinner face of Plautilla with hair in vertical ridges and no bun but braids covering her neck :

D - The fourth type has a similar appearance with the former, but the vertical ridges disappear, hair being plastered down, still showing the right ear :

E - Plautilla appears with mid long hair plastered down and covering her ears :

I picked up an as just like your second one recently too... cost me 120 CHF plus fees though! You got an awesome deal.

Mine is 11.3 g but has a brassy orichalcum look. Yours looks much more coppery. These middle bronze denominations are tricky to figure out...
