    AR Denarius, 20mm, 3.7g, 12h.
    Imitating obverse of L. Caecilius Metellus, reverse of T. Claudius Nero. After 79 BC.
    Obv.: Stylized helmeted head of Roma right, M(?) behind.
    Rev.: Victory driving galloping biga left, pseudo-legends above and below exergue line.

    Really excellent pickup! These imitations are a fascinating series. I really considered bidding on the Eravisci imitations in the latest Agora sale right up to the last few minutes before the auction began closing but ultimately my bids went towards another coin in the mainline RR section that I wanted just a little bit more.

    Thanks - I'm happy with it. I have an interest in Hungarian coins as my girlfriend is from Budapest and I've been to see Aquincum (a suburb of modern-day Budapest), but haven't seen the coins in the National Museum yet. It looks like Agora is selling off RBW's Eraviscan coins slowly - I must look out for more of them.
