    One of my favorite designs:

    But modern mints have gone away from hand engraving and high relief coins. They want to produce coins that appeal to the general public, especially with commemoratives, and business strikes that wear well. That's low relief computer assisted design. They clearly aren't making coins for us. Even if they produced a classic design now, it wouldn't look that good.

    Sadly that is so true:( But there are some exceptions like this 140 g. AV 1000 Shillings from Uganda. Malaysia 25 Rinngit.... g349.jpg lf (52).jpg
