I found this cent and the reverse seems to be misaligned slightly. is this withinn normal variation or is it a rotated die?

The Obverse is actually tilted a bit.. So that will make the reverse look rotated. Your Cent is normal

If memory serves me, anything up to and including *15 degrees is within tolerance.

Edited: my mistake. See post #4 below.

Official Mint tolerance is 27 degrees
(I have photos of a sign saying that,
from my last floor tour of the Philly
    Mint, about 10 years ago)

In general, collectors want Rotated Reverses
to be at least 45 degrees, if not 90 degrees,
    before they're really collectable.

45 degrees would mean the reverse points to 1:30
    or 10:30 (if it's a counter-clockwise rotation),
and a 90 degree rotation would point to either 3:00 or 9:00.

Thank you for the correction, Mr. Weinberg; it is most appreciated!

No need to post the photo unless you want to and/or others want to see it. I see no reason to doubt you. ;)

    I prefer mine with 360° rotations:wacky:

They allowed you to take pictures inside the Mint? I'm jealous!
My wife and I went and couldn't even take a picture of the Mint giftshop! :snaphappy:
