I am looking at the possibility of carcking one of my Rosies graded by NGC to send to send to PCGS to see if I can get the FB designation. Would someone be able to post photos a a FB up close? Thanks

There is no comparison unless it's the same coin. Might as well show a current mint coin when someone asked about a 1764 1 cent piece.

What are you talking about, a full band, is a full band, all the same for rosy .

I took that to mean that there is no comparison between a FB merc and a FB Roosevelt. I tend to agree as the two different types are measured by different standards and even the same type has differing standards depending on TPG.

I somehow thought the designation for Rosies was Full Torch or FT

NGC designates FT and PCGS uses FB (Full Bands)

'Tis, at least if you're NGC, and NGC goes a step farther than PCGS by requiring full definition on the verticals as well.

I know they say that the vertical lines must be defined to qualify for Full Torch Designation, but in practice I think they are a little lenient with the vertical lines. For example:

PCGS is and always has been more lenient than NGC when it comes to the special designations. And that is true with all of them, for all coins !

For example, with Mercs PCGS only requires the middle band to be clear and fully split with no breaks to get the FB designation.

While NGC requires all 3 bands, top, middle, and bottom to be clear and fully split with no breaks to get the FB designation.
