Roosevelt dime mustache?

    Looking through some older dimes, I came across this 1953. Seems like Teddy's sporting a handlebar mustache. Any thoughts? Sorry, the photo's the best I can get out of my pocket sized Olympus. P5180274.JPG

    Its silver!!!.IDB interior die break came to mind.

    Great place for a die break. Your images are fine but if you crop out all background they would be even better

    What you have is a Die Chip on the mouth.
    Here is an example from my collection.
