I’m new to coins so please cut me a break! I know of the infamous BIE error. Just wondering about this semi filled “B” I found on a 1957 Lincoln wheat penny. Worth hanging onto? “TR” in trust, not sure if that’s doubling, or I’ve been looking at coins to long and my eyes are playing tricks.
It's called a die chip, and it occurs in-between the letters of Liberty, and on them (like yours). Also, chips occur in the digits of the date. They are easily found in any group of 1950's/early 60's cents, and carry no premium because they are so easily cherry-picked. Good eye, and yes, interesting, but very very common and no premium.
Hi kaseh, Welcome to the group. I agree w/ Fred...nicely struck 1957 and a keeper, especially if you appreciate the 'wheaties'...as I do. I recommend you look into getting a Dansco #7100 if you haven't already....1909- as many pages you can add...OR if Dansco is too pricey I found this less expensive album for the 'Wheat' series only. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2831769294...2BPZ|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2047675&epid=4012063593 GOOD LUCK on your quest. Here's a pic of one page of my Dansco:
