Circulation Of Bills Over $1000 is more than a risk than convience! It can be stolen or lost easier than smaller denominations.
I believe that the ongoing debate going back and forth solidifies my previous thoughts that leaders, etc., should be left for commemoratives. Too much debate and spirited beliefs about which dead leader ["deserves"] to be on money. Put symbolism and liberty back on coinage and currency and nullify this issue in of itself.

I haven't inferred a thing... and let us not 'be naive' and take your inference to include both lost and misplaced things in the possession of the (greater) U.S. Government nor to extend that line of suggestion beyond the topic of currency, as this thread should remain in the category of currency (paper money) and the topic of a specific new design proposal recently put forth... Now as for those $100,000 bank notes, 42,000 Series 1934 were issued. I am unsure of the remaining population. Perhaps some of our other Paper Money folks have those figures. Suffice it to say that unless some of those were destroyed, very few were 'lost' per your earlier comment regarding larger than $1000 denomination notes.
