I, as the past image contents contributor to BanknoteWorld (Ron Wise the owner, not sure who owns it today) had a little surprise today when upon a visit to Banknoteworld.com I realised there's now a password (restricted) access to Banknoteworld.com. Haven't been notified about that in advance. When I accessed Banknoteworld.com immediately a username/password window popped up. Since I don't have one, and there's no info how to get one, I was unsuccessfully trying to close my browser to no avail, - the banknoteworld.com login box would pop up preventing me not only from closing the current browser tab it was on, but also preventing me from using or even shutting/reloading my browser down. I had to reboot my computer in order to gain access to my work again. Gladly the banknoteworld was gone and did not pop up again.

I don't think I will be further contributing to the website, which puts barriers between the public and the images that they got from contributors for free unrestricted use. What's next? Will there be a fee? Latest images I contributed were not even posted on the website even if they seemed unique and hard to find. Perhaps those records were lost when (whatever happened to Ron Wise) the site went down before its redesign.

I'd like to ask the (new) owner of Banknoteworld.com to remove my contributions from your website unless you're going to provide the contributors and everyone else a free unrestricted access to our donated contents.

I would also like to raise the question whether Banknoteworld.com is still an official IBNS Gallery and if so, I'd like The IBNS to address this issue of restricted access to all public as well as to the members of IBNS.

By coming to Banknotes.com you may find some interesting images and descriptions that are being worked on so it is not perfect. Although my website does not provide universal coverage for all international banknotes, I'm working to add more banknotes every year. My site is a commercial dealer store and a free image gallery, which is to remain free, without any restricted access. Regards, A. Tomonis IBNS LM-189
