    Good day all!

After visiting Romania, I came in possession of many old coins and was wondering what would be the value of them.

If anyone could help me or refer me to websites, It would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a listing of what I have

Lots of 100 Lei coins from 1943-1945

    1 Leu 1874/1873

    20 Leu 1894

    1 Leu 1884

    50 and 2 Bani 1900

    2 Lei 1910

    10 Bani 1906

    5 Bani 1906

    50 Bani 1911

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure none of your 20th Century coins are particularly valuable.

If you have an 1874 over 1873 overdate (the accepted numismatic meaning of the format 1874/1873), then if it is genuine you have a real treasure, since it would be a "first found"!

If you mean that you have 1873 and 1874 coins, they are each worth somewhere in the range of 50¢ to $200, depending on condition.

The 1894 Leu could be worth up to $125, and the 1894 20 Lei is another "first find". The 1884 20 Lei had a mintage of only 35,000 and has no value assigned in the Standard Catalog of World Coins by Krause & Mischler, the generally accepted primary information source on world coins.

Clear pictures would be very helpful in putting more precise values on your coins.

You might want to visit your public library, where the chances are very high that they will have the 20th/21st Century volume of Krause; and they will either have, or can obtain on inter-library loan, the 19th Century volume. Those large city telephone book-sized volumes have a wealth of information, including a discussion of grading that will help in determining the value of your coins. :)
